Welcome To Lehighton Water Authority

Water Distribution The Lehighton Water Authority (LWA) was incorporated on September 9, 1940. The source of water for LWA system is surface water from primary sources from the Long Run Reservoirs #1 & #2, the Pine Run Reservoir and as an emergency supply, the Lehigh River, which is treated at the Filtration Plant. The Water Filtration Plant was constructed in 1994 and has a total capacity of 1.60 million gallons per day.

LWA supplies potable water to properties within Lehighton and Weissport Boroughs as well as portions of Franklin and Mahoning Townships. Population served is approximately 6,400.

The Lehighton Water Authority Office is located on the second floor of the Lehighton Municipal Building, Office hours are Monday through Friday 7:30am to 4:00pm (building does not open until 8:30am.) Regular Utililty Billings hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 4:00pm. For questions or concerns, please call our Office at 610-377-1912.
